biography - Mark A Phillips

Bio

Mark originally studied engineering, and has a PhD from the University of Cambridge where he researched innovation and social ecosystems, developing multi-perspective approaches to understanding emerging and complex systems. That research approach now informs his current photography projects. His work has been published in various major newspapers and magazines and at exhibitions in UK, USA and in Europe. He is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS) and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). He is currently Chair of the Documentary Group of the Royal Photographic Society.
